What are psychic readings and how do they work?
Psychic readings, if done correctly, are a way to understand yourself more and the choices available to you in the future. Psychics are able to pick up on connections and tune into what may be in store for you. They will look into your past and review your present, which may then give them an insight into your future.
Using the mind’s eye, psychics have the ability to sense and feel things that others can’t. Seeing things that others can’t is clairvoyance whereas the ability to hear these things is clairaudience – psychics may possess these skills or be more like a medium and connect to the spirit world, perhaps by using their spirit guide. Using one or more of these abilities, psychics will read what is around you, and, if connecting to the spirit world, will tune into those closest to you. This helps them to understand you more and pick up on themes so they can see what’s happened in your past and what may be to come.

Some psychics will use tools to help them such as Tarot cards as a guide. They will use the readings to connect them to your story and see the patterns within your present and potentially your future. However, some psychics prefer to connect fully to the person, rather than the use of tools. With a greater connection, a more accurate reading can take place.
Will a psychic reading reveal the future?
A psychic reading should give you a good sense of the path ahead. It’s not predicting the future but being clearer about it, so you shouldn’t go in with a set agenda with what you want to find out. Instead, be open to what may come to you in the session. The psychic will guide the reading and do most of the talking. They may ask you to confirm certain parts of your past in order to know they are connecting the right information. Psychics have little control over what they will receive as it isn’t them giving the information, it is a message coming through them. What’s more, the future is not set in stone and so a reliable psychic will never tell you something definitively. They will instead guide you on patterns and themes that surround you in order to prepare you for what may come.
