A friend or family member will put you on a bit of a spot, by asking you if you could look after their pet for a while. The problem is once you do it they will expect you to do it again, so you will have to be clear that it is a one off, of course, if that is what you want to.

However be patient is only a question of time before you find what you are looking for.
